01Origin
Born at the intersection.
Co-founder and medical expert Jonas Åkeson realised that a new airway device was urgently needed to allow sedationists to intervene less with occluded airways and interrupted breathing during sedation.
He explained the problem to his friend and dental expert Thomas List.
In this intersection of dental and sedation expertise, STAIRWAY was invented.
02Clinical Validation
Validated by clinical trials.
Randomised clinical trials demonstrate that STAIRWAY can prevent more than 80% of respiratory arrests during standardised start-up of light sedation and moderate-to-deep sedation in healthy volunteers.
